Malev Launches New Service To Uzhgorod on June 15

Budapest will be linked to the Ukrainian city with a twice a week flight

Malev launches a brand-new flight to Uzhhorod (Ukraine) on June 15, 2009, linking Budapest (Hungary) to the Subcarpathian city twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays. The new route will be covered by the Hungarian flag carrier using rented, 30-seater Embraer 120-type aircraft.

The Hungarian national airline opened this new route because of increasing business traffic to the region.

The new flight will be used primarily by employees of an international company operating in the region, thus guaranteeing a stable clientele for Malev. The airline will sell the remaining seats and it reckons that although this is a new route it will prove extremely important both for the Hungarians of Subcarpathia and for Ukrainian citizens living or working in West Europe, furthermore, it will attract foreign business travelers because of the rapid and convenient connections through Budapest to the region.
