Pilot Forces Emergency Landing of JetBlue Flight
Passengers, who were traveling out of New York, were left shocked after a pilot reported a problem in the aircraft.
The aircraft landed safely after the erratic outburst. After the decision was made to land the aircraft, a co-pilot locked the pilot from the plane cockpit, before landing at Amarillo, Texas.
Passengers, who were traveling in the aircraft, helped to control the pilot to land the plane safely. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has mentioned in a statement that the co-pilot became worried about the captain’s erratic behavior while the problem was reported and while landing.
After that the pilot was taken for evaluation. After the problem reported, an off-duty pilot entered in to the cockpit for assisting the co-pilot in landing the aircraft SAS A320.
Around 135 passengers, along with five on-duty crew members were on board at the time. Further investigations about the engine problem are done by Transportation Security Administration, local law enforcement authorities, and FAA, Federal Bureau of Investigation.
