Cathay Pacific Welcomes the Government’s Approval of Three-Runway at HKIA

Cathay Pacific Airways welcomes the government´s approval for the three-runway option to plan the future blueprint development of Hong Kong International Airport. The public also welcomes the option and recommends the Hong Kong Airport authorities to proceed further.

The Chief Executive of Cathay Pacific, John Slosar mentioned that Hong Kong Airlines believes the three-runway option as an important sustainability for the country’s economy. With this three-runway option, the airport will connect all over the world, maintain, and grow the link for the future. This runway option will be the only feasible option to ensure the Hong Kong’s competitiveness as the important financial center for tourism, trade, logistic hub, and many more. 

Cathay Pacific Airways also appreciates the government for ensuring the HKIA’s continuous success. Currently, the airport is making several investments for committing to make the Hong Kong as a hub, which includes more than 90 new aircrafts for delivering the decade at the price list of around 190HK billion dollars.

During the early 2013, Hong Kong terminal worth of 5.7 HK billion dollars has been scheduled to operate. Even Cathay Pacific Airlines has also planned to hire 1000 cabin crews, 300 pilots, and 600 ground staffs, during this current year.
