Eye Scanners at UK Airports Turned Off
BreakingTravelNews confirmed an important news, "End in sight for eye scanners at UK airports"
The Iris Recognition Immigration System (IRIS) has verified somewhat of a delay, with verification from the government scanners had been turned-off at half the airports using the system.
Manchester & Birmingham airdromes have mothballed the tools, parting only London Heathrow and London Gatwick airports using the scheme.
The IRIS was commenced at Heathrow in 2005 before being rolled out at Birmingham, Gatwick and Manchester.
The UK Border Agency verified the government was reviewing the use of the IRIS scheme in the light of novel expertise. IRIS listing has been stopped.
