Travelers to Israel this fall can experience theatrical tours, food festivals and live entertainment during Autumn Nights in the Old City.
Autumn Nights in the Old City will take place every Monday and Thursday evening in September and October and offer travelers the opportunity to enjoy the alleyways and ancient tourist sites of the Old City of Jerusalem in a special nighttime setting. The evenings will feature:
- Unique and experiential theater and musical tours highlighting characters, stories and sounds of the Old City
- Ethnic and world musical performances in the Old City squares
- A food festival in the local restaurants, coffee shops and markets
- Late-night performances of the Night Spectacular at the Tower of David Museum
"Autumn Nights in Jerusalem's Old City is a unique and exciting display that will transform the ancient Old City into a modern and visually stunning environment," says Arie Sommer, commissioner of tourism, North and South America. "And the festive evenings will raise awareness of the Old City as a destination that can truly be enjoyed after dark."
Also, free live musical performances will take place at the Muristan Square in the Christian Quarter and in the Jewish Quarter at 8:30PM, and three musical one-man-show tours will depart from Jaffa Gate beginning at 6:30PM.
