Flights Will Not Be Cancelled Because of Strike
Corporate conflict at Air Greenland is almost over
Air Greenland and the Air Greenland Cabin Union have come to terms on the renewal of the cabin attendants’ agreement. The result will now be voted on in a ballot among the union members. This means that there will not be a strike on Air Greenland flights from June 15, 2009.
'This has been a case of give and take and we are pleased with the result which considers the interests of the cabin crew and is, at the same time, an acceptable economic solution to Air Greenland. Now, it is important to move forwards and to secure a continued development in Air Greenland that will benefit the customers, the company and the employees. Finally, it is also very fortunate that we in Greenland will be able to celebrate our coming Self-governance without a conflict," says CEO Michael Binzer.
