Frontier Airlines Begins Service to Five New Destinations
Frontier Airlines, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Republic Airways Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: RJET), today announced the launch of service to five new destinations out of the carriers two main hubs in Denver and Milwaukee. The new service is the start of a significant period of growth for the Denver-based carrier, which is growing by 7 percent in seat miles this year, making it the fastest-growing major airline in the United States.
“With Midwest and Frontier Airlines operating as one carrier, under the Frontier name, our customers can now enjoy even more destinations at an affordable price. The launch of these five new routes is part of a 17-market expansion taking place this spring and summer.”
Service from Denver International Airport (DEN) to Louisville International Airport (SDF) and Green Bay’s Austin-Straubel International Airport (GRB) begins April 19, and service to Branson Airport (BKG) begins April 20. Additionally, seasonal service from Milwaukee’s General Mitchell International Airport (MKE) to San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and San Diego International Airport (SAN) will begin on April 19.
“This is the beginning of a tremendous period of growth for Frontier Airlines,” said VP of Planning and Strategy, Daniel Shurz. “With Midwest and Frontier Airlines operating as one carrier, under the Frontier name, our customers can now enjoy even more destinations at an affordable price.
