US Airways Group, Inc. (NYSE: LCC) today announced April and year-to-date 2010 traffic results. Mainline revenue passenger miles (RPMs) for the month were 4.7 billion, down 5.0 percent versus April 2009. Mainline capacity was 5.7 billion available seat miles (ASMs), down 2.5 percent versus April 2009. Passenger load factor for the month of April was 82.7 percent, down 2.1 points versus April 2009.

Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) and US Airways (NYSE: LCC) today issued the following statement in response to the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Aviation Administrations (FAA) announcement that they will reject the airlines modified proposal with JetBlue Airways, AirTran Airways, WestJet and Spirit Airlines for a slot transaction at New Yorks LaGuardia Airport and Washingtons Reagan National Airport.

Republic Airways Holdings (NASDAQ/NM: RJET), today reported preliminary passenger traffic results for April 2010. The Company generated 1.75 billion revenue passenger miles (RPMs), a 106% increase from the same month last year, while available seat miles (ASMs) increased 94%. Block hours were 80,110 in April 2010, a 35% increase from April 2009.

Pushing upward, the AGEM Index closed the month of April 2010 at 116.19, an increase of 8.1 percent from the 107.45 posted in March. The latest report places the AGEM Index with an annual gain of 54.5 percent, well above the broader United States equities markets including: NASDAQ Composite (+45.3 percent); S&P 500 Index (+37.0 percent); and the Dow Jones Industrial Average (+36.3 percent) which broke the 11,000 mark during the month of April.
