Republic Airways Reports April 2010 Traffic
Republic Airways Holdings (NASDAQ/NM: RJET), today reported preliminary passenger traffic results for April 2010. The Company generated 1.75 billion revenue passenger miles (RPMs), a 106% increase from the same month last year, while available seat miles (ASMs) increased 94%. Block hours were 80,110 in April 2010, a 35% increase from April 2009.
Branded Operations Report Record April Load Factor
Republic Airways Holdings (NASDAQ/NM: RJET), today reported preliminary passenger traffic results for April 2010. The Company generated 1.75 billion revenue passenger miles (RPMs), a 106% increase from the same month last year, while available seat miles (ASMs) increased 94%. Block hours were 80,110 in April 2010, a 35% increase from April 2009. Consolidated load factor was 80% versus 75% in April 2009. Nearly 2.7 million passengers were carried during the month, a 59% increase from the same month last year. As a reminder, the 2009 results do not include operations at Midwest Airlines and Frontier Airlines which were purchased by the Company in July 2009 and October 2009, respectively.
The branded operations at Frontier and Midwest generated 1.04 billion RPMs in April 2010, an increase of 12% over their combined April 2009 results. Capacity (ASMs) for the branded carriers increased 7% to 1.26 billion in April 2010 compared to 1.18 billion in April 2009. Load factor on the branded operations was 82% in April 2010 compared to 78% in April 2009, achieving the highest combined April load factor in their histories. The branded carriers served 1.2 million passengers last month, a 7% increase from April 2009.
