Delta Adds More Flights Between Atlanta and Amsterdam
Delta updated its international flight schedule
According to Delta Air Lines Inc., the airline plans to add more flights between Atlanta and Amsterdam this fall and winter after suspending its route from Memphis to the capital of the Netherlands.
Earlier this week, the airline announced that it will soon operate the second frequency four times a week between Atlanta International Airport and Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. That’s an increase from winter 2011, when Delta had just one daily flight from Atlanta to Amsterdam.
In March, the airline said it was cutting its Memphis-Amsterdam service to a seasonal summer schedule. The airline did it because it was part of the overall decrease in trans-Atlantic capacity that began last year in response to the major increase in jet fuel prices.
Delta’s joint venture partner KLM also has one daily flight on this route, so a total of three daily departures will be offered from Atlanta to Amsterdam four times each week.
