Lufthansa Joins Travelport for a Сontent Deal
Apart from the Lufthansa preferred fare countries- Austria, Switzerland, Germany, and Liechtenstein, Galileo and worldspan agencies can also have the access for all Lufthansa’s published inventories and fares.
Travelport- one of the leading business service providers- signs a new multi-layer global content agreement with Lufthansa. With this agreement, Travelport ensures that the Galileo and the customers of world travel agency can get the complete access to the Lufthansa’s contents. The new agreement also says that the GDS surcharges continue to waive to all the Travelport connected travel agencies.
This surcharge is also applicable to the travel agencies, who participate in the Lufthansa Preferred Fare programs operated in the countries like Austria, Switzerland, Germany, and Liechtenstein. The sales and distribution strategy director of Lufthansa says that the partnership with Travelport provides an important distribution channel to the Galileo and Worldspan platforms, with respect to the sales of Lufthansa fares. The director also commented that they would work hardly and closely to maintain the strong relationship for a long term.
