Heathrow Canceled Flights on 5th February Due to Heavy Snow Forecast

The London Heathrow Airport cancelled approx 30% of the flights at its airport as a result of heavy snow forecast, Times of India.
Recently, Britain’s Met Office issued a strict weather warning and the forecasters are predicting up to 15cm of snow.

BAS, proprietor of the airport, said it reached a conformity with Heathrow airlines and air traffic control to decrease the flight agenda to "minimize the disturbance to passengers" caused by intense snowfall predictable at the airdrome.

A revised air travel program was to be broadcast online early on 5th February. Passengers should get in touch with their airline for additional information. Singapore Airlines (SIA), for  instance, declared that it would be cancelling SQ308 (Singapore-London) and SQ319 (London-Singapore) on 5th February 2012.
