Korean Air Runs in Losses, Advents New Routes

“For the financial year 2011, Korean Airlines reported a loss of KRW 98.2 Billion US$87 Million compared with a previous year net profit of KRW 623.9 billion”
Korean Airlines is recognized as one of the most innovative airlines by the 18th World Travel Awards. The Korean Prestige Class was the best performing airlines in London. Across London, Korean Airlines even performed better with the economy and first class flight services. 

The overall Losses were recognized as a consequence of higher fuel costs, lower cargo demand and poor local currency. On the other hand, sales at the Korean flag-carrier were up 5.4% to KRW 12.27 trillion, while operating income knock out to 62.85% to KRW 459.8 billion.

Recent confirmation from Korean Airlines states that it is going to launch a fresh three times weekly flight service on 29th April from London Gatwick to Seoul. The departure will be in accumulation to the daily flight that is already on bid from London Heathrow Airport.

This latest flight-service will mean that Korean Air will now fly routes to/from Seoul right through 16 cities in 11 European countries and will connect London and Seoul ten times a week through both Heathrow and Gatwick gateways. Leisure travelers will uncover dual destinations opportunities including Bali, Australia and New Zealand.
