Cheapflights.com Ranks 101 Airports on Affordability
After polling its vast airfare inventory, Cheapflights.com, the online leader in finding and publishing travel deals, has determined the most and least affordable departure airports in the U.S. with its list of 101 airports ranked on affordability.
In the process, Cheapflights.com also found the destinations with the lowest domestic and international average airfares and the best average prices our users are finding for a flight to Europe at the top and bottom ranked airports.
"Like real estate and politics, airfares are often very local," says Meredith Hanrahan, Chief Travel Officer at Cheapflights. "It's important to know what an average price looks like in your back yard so you can spot and book a deal. It's also important to know when a nearby airport can be a cost saving alternative for any or all trips."
Of the 101 most searched-on departure airports, below are the 20 most affordable along with average round trip airfares, including taxes, for top deal locations for each.
