Common Sense Had Prevailed
TAP strike scheduled for 26 to 31 March called off after agreement, normal operations over Easter
TAP and the SPAC have reached an agreement, meaning that the strike scheduled for 26 to 31 March can be called off.
The agreement includes a pay rise of 1.8%, the same as for the other TAP unions, and equal sharing of productivity gains by pilots and the airline.
Fernando Pinto, TAP Executive Chairman, said that common sense had prevailed and considered the agreement “good for both sides”.
“I would like to apologise to all those who have been inconvenienced by the strike notice. I can assure you that TAP will make every effort to minimise the effects and guarantee normal operation over the Easter period,” he added.
