New Hotel Implements Green Initiatives
The new 79-room Country Inn & Suites By Carlson(SM) Tucson City Center today announced it is open for business. Conveniently located off of I-10, the hotel is only minutes from the University of Arizona.
The 100 percent non-smoking hotel features the brand's new interior design package along with an outdoor pool, whirlpool and fitness center and meeting space for up to 35 people The hotel offers a variety of guest room styles including standard rooms, studio suites, one bedroom suites and Jacuzzi rooms. All rooms feature complimentary wired and wireless high-speed Internet access, microwave and refrigerator.
"The addition of our third Country Inns & Suites property in the Tucson market contributes to our overall plans to accelerate the growth of the brand in North America and intensifies our footprint in existing markets," said Steve Mogck, executive vice president and chief operating officer for Country Inns & Suites. "This year, the Country Inns & Suites brand globally will reach 500 locations, with the majority of the hotels in operation in the U.S. and Canada."
"Our hotel is the first in Tucson to utilize 'Greywater Innovations,' a laundry reuse and recycling capability that consumes less water from not only the city, but the entire county," said David Pavlik, general manager of the Country Inn & Suites, Tucson City Center.
Additional Energy Star amenities, including compact fluorescent lighting (CFL) and equipment make the hotel a geo-friendly property. "This hotel is a wonderful addition to our community. The hotel offers guests easy access to attractions like the University of Arizona Medical Center, Tucson Mall, Desert Diamond Casino and Tucson Government Complex.
