Transaero Asks to Forget About Paper Tickets
A Russian airline passes completely to electronic tickets
On October, 7th, 2009 Transaero airlines has completely passed to the electronic ticket. Now the issuance of traditional paper tickets is no more performed at Transaero ticket sales offices and at all its sales agents.
It is one more important step on a way of development and perfection of the electronic commerce which pioneer in Russia, Transaero became in 2007, when it has begun the sale of electronic tickets for own flights and the first in Russia has entered web check-in.
To full refusal of paper forms of air tickets Transaero went systematically, constantly improving quality and increasing volumes of electronic sales. In 2009 95% of all sold air tickets of the company were electronic tickets.
Passengers of Transaero only will win from full transition to electronic tickets. These tickets can be bought through the Internet, in usual ticket sales offices, and also in a neutral sales network in territory of foreign countries. The electronic ticket is, first of all, convenience and safety. It is stored in a special electronic database, therefore cannot be forgotten or lost.
As the acknowledgement of purchase of the electronic ticket passengers can receive the itinerary-receipt. The necessary information is displayed both in Russian, and in English languages in Transaero itinerary-receipts.
Start of a new Internet product on the airline site which gives to the client possibility of the most convenient and wide search of necessary transportation on dates, classes of service and price is urged to promote the further increase of efficiency and volumes of Transaero electronic sales.
To those passengers who have bought Transaero paper tickets till October, 7th, 2009, there is no need to worry. These tickets, certainly, will be valid during the terms specified in them.
