Worldwide Protest by United Flight Attendants for Overdue Pay
Flight Attendants Fed Up after One Year of Fruitless Contract Negotiations
United Airlines Flight Attendants, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA, AFL-CIO (AFA-CWA), will protest worldwide the failure of United Airlines management to negotiate a new contract on time. After one full year in negotiations, management is nowhere near to addressing the improvements flight attendants seek after pay, benefits, working conditions, and pensions were slashed nearly eight years ago.
United Airlines flight attendants are working at 1994 wage levels in the year 2010 and working 48% more compared with 2002 schedules and staffing.
