Akron-Canton Airport Has Busiest March Ever; Beats Record From 2006
Spring break travelers gave a big boost to passenger figures at Akron-Canton Airport (CAK).
Nearly 136,000 passengers traveled to and from CAK, making it the airport's busiest March of all time. That figure is up 11 percent compared to 2009 and beats the airport's previous best March by 5,873 passengers which was in 2006. For the first three months of the year, more than 347,000 passengers traveled to/from CAK, a 7.3 percent increase compared to 2009.
