United Hospitality Association to Host First Formal Meeting of Hoteliers

The first official meeting of the United Hospitality Association (UHA) will take place Tuesday May 11, 2010 at the Royal Albert Palace in Fords, N.J. at 5:00 p.m. (EST). The event will host over 200 hotel owners from the Tri-State area who represent many of the largest hotel franchises in the U.S. including Hilton, Hyatt, Sheraton, Wyndham, Marriott, etc.

The goal of the meeting is to educate the hotel community with tools to navigate difficult economic times, through creating awareness of the various options to deal with current industry issues. Speaking at this meeting is respected industry expert Ross Woods, current professor at New York University, active member of Hospitality Asset Managers Association, past principal of Hotel Investment Strategies, past director in PricewaterhouseCoopers New York Hospitality & Leisure Practice, past Vice President of Hotel Investments with Prudential Real Estate Investors, past Director of Horwath Asia Pacific and Natural Resources graduate of the University of New England, Australia.

The United Hospitality Association was founded with a vision of creating a healthy and sustainable environment for hoteliers. Their mission is to deal with problems arising from current economic conditions impacting hoteliers through a unified approach. The organization seeks to educate the hotel community and provide a forum to receive sound advice. The UHA is split into three major committees, which are banking, legislative, and franchise. Through these committees they are able to touch on all aspects of the problems and concerns the community is facing in today’s economic climate.
