Trophy for Friendly Customer Service
Air Berlin wins European Business Award
On April 7, 2009 Air Berlin, the second largest German airline, won the European Business Award in the "Customer Focus" category. Air Berlin prevailed over numerous renowned European companies, including Dell and Deutsche Telekom Kundenservice GmbH.
Thorsten Scherzer, Head of Sales Management at Air Berlin, collected the award in Rome. "Especially companies operating in a difficult commercial sector, and airlines in particular, must not cut corners when it comes to the most important of all customer loyalty instruments, the service they provide. That is the very reason why Air Berlin has successfully developed its market position for 30 years now and is increasingly counting business travellers among its passengers."
The European Business Awards have been issued annually since 2006. The independent award is designed as recognition of successful and innovative companies in the European Union.
