The well known and prominent World Travel Awards 2011 just announced Turkish Airlines as the winner of Europe’s leading Business Class Airline. Together with Panasonic Avionics Corporation, Turkish Airlines just added high speed Wi-Fi broadband internet access to its existing live, in-flight television service on Trans Atlantic flights using its IFE platform, Planet.

Internet is one of the most needed services or facilities to students, businessmen, employees or anyone of us. With the great Wi-Fi facility, passengers can carry on with their internet requirements anytime during the flight hours. It is simply incredible to accept the on flight internet services but Turkish Airlines bring it true in the year, 2012.

The Passengers travelling with WLAN enabled devices or Smartphones, mobiles, laptops and tablets can easily access to internet during the flight hours. Also the business travelers can connect to their Company’s Virtual Private Network (VPN) easily during flight time. Right now the service is provided as free of charge because of introductory services.

Also during the year 2011, Turkish Airlines was the first airline company to offer live television to their passengers with the introduction of Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
