Wiegmann reveals that customers visit 11 websites before going to the brand site or an OTA to book and on average, a hotel gets 800 looks for every one booking. The fact that travel consumers are doing so much shopping around online makes it increasingly difficult for hoteliers to actually convert them into buyers.
