Hotly Contested GM Position Filled for Noosas Newest Resort
Senior hotel industry figure, Alexander Chapman has been appointed general manager of the spectacular $350M Outrigger Little Hastings Street Resort & Spa, set to officially open on August 1, 2010.
The 197-suite hilltop resort, 500-metres from the warm waters of Laguna Bay, generated a flurry of applicants worldwide, each vying for the coveted role to oversee the opening and management of Noosa's newest resort, spa and conferencing venue in one of Australia's most idyllic holiday locations.
With over 20 years' tourism experience, Mr Chapman has worked in senior management, sales and marketing roles for international hotel brands including Intercontinental Hotel Group, Accor Asia Pacific and Ramada throughout the South Pacific.
He moves to the sub-tropical paradise of Noosa from Canberra where he held the position of general manager at Saville Park Suites that was later re-branded to Mantra on Northbourne.
