Republic Airways Reports February 2010 Traffic
The Company generated 1.41 billion revenue passenger miles (RPMs), a 104% increase from the same month last year, while available seat miles (ASMs) increased 88%.
Republic Airways Holdings (NASDAQ/NM: RJET), reported preliminary passenger traffic results for February 2010. Block hours were 72,588 in February 2010, a 31% increase from February 2009. Consolidated load factor was 72% versus 67% in February 2009. More than 2.0 million passengers were carried during the month, a 51% increase from the same month last year. As a reminder, the 2009 results do not include operations at Midwest Airlines and Frontier Airlines which were purchased by the Company in July 2009 and October 2009, respectively.
The branded operations at Frontier and Midwest generated 835 million RPMs in February 2010, an increase of 8% over their combined February 2009 results. Capacity (ASMs) for the branded carriers increased 5% to 1.15 billion in February 2010 compared to 1.09 billion in February 2009. Load factor on the branded operations was 73% in February 2010 compared to 71% in February 2009.
