Choice Hotels International Opens 29 New Hotels in February
The openings include hotels in 12 states and 4 countries, adding more than 2,000 rooms to the companys existing 485,000-plus rooms. Select properties that opened in February include:
Distrikt Hotel, an Ascend Collection hotel – New York, N.Y.
This 32-story, newly-constructed skyscraper boutique hotel is located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan. Its design pays homage to Manhattan’s diverse “distrikts” with neighborhood-themed flows that build from the Financial District on the bottom of the building to Harlem at the top. Each of hotel’s 155 guestrooms mixes comfort and luxury with dark-wood furnishings and a soothing color palette of creams, browns and grays.
