American Eagle Airlines Announces Nonstop Jet Service Between Dallas/Fort Worth and Cheyenne, Wyo.
American Eagle Airlines, the regional affiliate of American Airlines, will begin nonstop jet service between Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and Cheyenne Regional Airport (CYS), beginning July 15. Eagle will operate the service with 44-seat Embraer ERJ-140 jets.
"American Eagle is pleased to introduce service to Wyoming's state capital from our largest hub in Dallas/Fort Worth just in time for Cheyenne Frontier Days at the end of July, the largest outdoor rodeo in the world," said Gary Foss, Vice President – Planning and Marketing for the AA Regional Network. "These new routes are the result of a unique business partnership between American and the Wyoming Department of Transportation and the Cheyenne community, and we are grateful for their vision and support."
Visitors to Cheyenne will enjoy all the culture and Western heritage the area has to offer. The new flights will also provide local businesses, personnel from nearby F.E. Warren Air Force Base, and customers throughout southeast Wyoming with convenient connections to destinations throughout American's global network.
"Hand-in-hand with increased air travel out of Cheyenne will be the economic development benefit it brings to this community," said Cheyenne Mayor Rick Kaysen. "I see the addition of American Airlines as a 'win-win' for Cheyenne and the surrounding area."
