Cheap ANA - All Nippon Airways Flights (NH)
Overview
One of the Asia’s largest airlines, ANA's story begins in 1952, when Nippon Helicopter - from where we get NH flight code - and another regional airline were established in the Japanese private sector. They operated separately but with close ties until 1957, when All Nippon Airways Co., Ltd. was born through a merging of the two.
ANA grew rapidly, soon developing Japan’s most comprehensive domestic route network, and in 1986 entered a new era, when its first scheduled international flight took to the air from Tokyo’s Narita airport to Guam, after the Japanese government liberalised the market for overseas air travel. Now ranked among the top 10 passenger carriers in the world, ANA continues to expand its international operations, today serving 77 destinations in 11 countries. At the same time, ANA maintains its strong domestic roots, and the company's service to 51 destinations in Japan with nearly 900 flights daily accounts for around 50% of the Japanese domestic travel market.
ANA is recognised for outstanding passenger service both on the ground and in the air. In the greatest Japanese tradition of mixing hospitality with high technology, personalised à la carte service complements state-of-the-art entertainment systems and the latest in cabin design. ANA has been in the airline business for over 50 years, and combined with ANA Group companies, its activities extend across a host of complete travel and aviation-related services. It is the launch customer of the Boeing 787 and the Mitsubishi Regional Jet, which will add to its fleet of 216 aircraft in the near future. ANA has won awards in all categories for its products and services and was voted Airline of the Year for 2007 by Air Transport World magazine.
